Forcefield set about making a back protector that absorbed less than 4 Kilonewtons of transmitted force, the figure identified by Dr Woods as a minimum requirement when protecting the back. This figure is achieved in horse riders body protectors but no one has ever produced a motorcycle back protector to this level legitimately until now. Forcefield Body Armour is not a mainstream brand, it pushes boundaries across its whole range. Made from several layers of perforated shock absorbing foam it is well vented through perforations and is very light weight at only 2 pounds. The Pro Sub 4 has a slim-line design which hides the layers of foam to provide a sleek look despite its amazing performance and is CE Certified by Satra in the UK at 3.38 Kilonewtons.

The Forcefield Pro Sub 4 was specifically designed to test at under 4kn transmitted energy when subjected to the standard CE test EN1621-2.
4kn is considered by medical experts to be the maximum amount of transmitted energy that should be subjected to a user to prevent severe back and rib trauma.
Independent testing by SATRA shows a mean test result of 3.38kn making it the first motorcycle back protector in the world to attain this level of performance. In addition to this, Forcefield’s Protective Skin (FPS) aids the Pro Sub 4’s penetrable strength, and offers additional abrasion resistance too.
The Forcefield Pro Sub 4 back protector is constructed with a removable & washable outer cover; this gives the user the ability to keep the cover clean and hygienic. It also makes the protector more flexible as it is not bonded at the edges, this in turn makes it more comfortable.
As with all Forcefield Body Armour the Pro Sub 4 has Repeat Performance Technology (RPT) ensuring continued and consistent protection even after multiple impacts.
